Water blessing ceremony in St. Nshan Church of Horomayr Monastic Complex


During the eight-day period of Holy Nativity, Father Vrtanes Baghalyan - the pastor of Odzun, offered a Water blessing ceremony in Srbanes Monastery of Ardvi and St. Nshan Church of Horomayr. “We offered the Liturgies of Candlelight and Holy Nativity in Odzun Church, therefore we had this Water blessing ceremony in other places so that the good news of the birth of Christ would go around the entire sub-region”,- said the priest.
 

Three cross-stones dedicated to the memory of intelligence agent Zorik Gevorgyan were consecrated


Four years ago, on August 2, during the attempt to prevent and massive reconnaissance attack, the commander Zorik Gevorgyan was deceased in Martakert. 
Father Bagrat Galstanyan personally consecrated the three cross-stones dedicated to the memory of Zorik Gevorgyan. After the consecration, the attendees also participated in the opening ceremony of Zorik Gevorgyan.  The opening was done by the parents of the hero.
 

 

A cross-stone was installed in Vanadzor to the memory of the deceased soldiers of the legendary 5th Motorized Rifle Regiment in the May-June victories of 1992


A tuff-made cross-stone was installed in Vanadzor on the opposite side of Vazgen Sargsyan's bust. It is dedicated to the memory of the deceased soldiers of the legendary 5th Motorized Rifle Regiment in the May-June victories of 1992. 
 

St. Karapet Church of Karinj village re-consecrated


On August 15, Karinj village of Lori celebrated a long-waited festivity. St. Karapet Church renovated by the efforts of co-villagers was re-consecrated. The Primate of Gugark Diocese Archbishop Sebou Chouldjian exhorted to hold prayers in St. Karapet and keep the road to the Church live.
 

The cross of the bell tower near the cemetery-chapel of Hovhannes Odznetsi Patriarch in Ardvi was consecrated


On August 2, Archbishop Sebou Chouldjian, the Primate of Gugark Diocese consecrated the reconstructed cross of the bell tower near the cemetery-chapel of Hovhannes Odznetsi Patriarch in Ardvi community. 
 

More than 100 young people hosted in tent camp of Odzun Monastery


The traditional tent camp has kicked off in Odzun. Over 100 young people aged 15-30 from Aragatsotn Diocese were hosted in Odzun St. Astvatsatsin Monastic Complex.
 

AGBU Scouts camped in Gugark Diocese


This year, the members of Antranik Scout Camp came to Armenia from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Georgia. Receiving the blessing of the Supreme Patriarch, they have settled their camp in Gugark Diocese, in the Valley of Tezh Ler. These days they met the Primate of the Diocese Archbishop Sebou Chouldjian.

This year too Tsitsernak Camp of Gugark Diocese opened its doors to children of 6-15


It’s been 17 years now since by the blessing of Archbishop Sebouh Chouldjian, Tsitsernak Camp of Gugark Diocese opens its doors to children of 6-15. This year, 1200-1500 children enjoyed the camp.  

 

Pilgrimage to Ardvi on the occasion of the 1300th anniversary of the enthronement of St. Hovhan Odznetsi


April 17 in the commemoration day of St. Hovnan Odznetsi Patriarch. By the blessing of Archbishop Sebou Chouldjian, the Primate of Gugark Diocese, starting from 2017 every year the same day, a pilgrimage is organized to Srbanes chapel-cemetery of Ardvi, where the relics of the saint are contained. 
 

Regional Festival “Spiritual songs “ in Odzun Holy Mother of God Church


In Odzun St. Holy Mother of God Church, Gugark Diocese Archbishop Sebou Chouldjian blessed the opening of the Regional Festival “Spiritual Songs”. The first day of the concert, the Elderly Choir “Nare” from Yerevan and Komitas Art School Choirs of Vanadzor performed for the guests. 
 

Under the guidance of the Primate of Tavush Diocese a Divine Liturgy was offered


On the preceding Sunday of the 4th Sunday of the Great Lent, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the commemoration day of Hovhannes Yerusaghemtsi, Hovhan Odznetsi, Grigor Tatevatsi and Hovhannes Vorotnetsi. Every year, despite the Lent, an open-curtain Liturgy is served across all Armenian Churches and numerous pilgrims visit Holy Mother of God Church in Odzun with their spiritual leaders.
