Within the scope of “Grabar Days” program of Ararat Patriarchal Diocese, an Old Armenian Guidebook for school children was published. 

 

The newly constructed Church in Ttujur - a village situated only a few kilometers away from Armenian-Azeri border was consecrated. The very first festive Divine Liturgy offered in the newly-consecrated church was dedicated to the Feast of Assumption followed by the blessing of grape. 

 

Governor of the Russian Orthodox Church in Armenia, Bishop Leonidos of the Vladikavkaz and Alania was hosted by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II at the Mother See.

Third major feast of the five feasts of the Armenian Apostolic Church is the Feast of Transfiguration or Vardavar. In the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin the Armenian Pontiff sprinkled Muron water on the attendants of the Divine Liturgy as a sign of purity and success. 

 

From now on the children of Tairov village will have an opportunity to attend a newly refurbished kindergarten owing to the support of Armen Terteryan Charity Fund, Armenian Businessmen Union of Germany and Parakar village administration.  The benefactors are long-time friends with Bishop Anushavan Zhamkochyan, Dean of Theology Faculty in Yerevan State University, with whom he made friends when he was studying in Germany.  

 

Aragatsotn Diocese's Vardenis village St.Narek Chapel gives asylum to the 18th century wonder-wrought Gospel called “Pape's Narek” by people.On the occasion of marking the 5th anniversary of re-consecration of Vardenis’ St. Hakob Church, at the Divine Liturgy the miraculous Gospel was taken out from St. Narek Chapel to be worshiped by the believers. 

 

Back in November of last year, the French branch of AGBU had told the Primate of Tavush Diocese Bishop Bagrat Galstanyan about their willingness to support the community.After developing the renovation program, the group of 33 people initiated the fundraising process. The group came to its motherland carrying the money raised due to concerts and events, donations and individual benefactors.Three-week long works were finalized only minutes before the opening of the classrooms. 

 

On the eve of new academic year in the Mother See. A blessing ceremony of stewards of education was held in Etchmiadzin.This is the 8th time the education specialists start their duties with the blessing and exhortation of the Pontiff.At the meeting with Catholicos of All Armenians, the Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan and the Director of Christian Education Center Bishop Vardan Navasardyan discussed new educational program and projects.
