On June 3, by the presidency of Catholicos of All Armenians a Divine Liturgy was offered in the Mother See to commemorate the establishment of the Armenian spiritual center. The Feast of Katoghike Etchmiadzin had been ordered by Grigor Lusavorich as he exited the Pit by enlightening with the word of Gospel truth and building a Cathedral. The Feast is celebrated on the second Sunday of the Feast of Pentecost.
