The Armenian Church celebrated the Feast of Assumption (Blessing of the Grapes) on August 18. A procession of clergymen and soldiers accompanied His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians to the St. Gayane Monastery. The Celebrant was His Grace Bishop Vasken Mirzakhanyan. At the end of the liturgy, the solemn procession moved to the St. Trdat open altar, the first grape harvest was blessed.
