Genocide literature

Extensive scientific and fictional literature on the Armenian Genocide has been created around the world. Only a bibliographic list of that literature can make up an entire volume. However, our knowledge and awareness of fiction in particular is limited to a few works. Why are we not aware of the  so-called genocide literature? What are some important things that are unjustly ignored?
