Conference dedicated to St. Nerses the Graceful in the Armenian Church in Moscow


On December 21, a conference dedicated to the 850th anniversary of the death of Saint Nerses the Graceful was held in the meeting hall of the Presbyterian Armenian Church in Moscow, which was attended by theologians, philologists, art critics, and historians from different cities of Russia, as well as from Armenia.

 

 

Ordination of new acolytes in the Holy Transfiguration church in Moscow


On the feast of St. Stepan the Proto-Deacon, in the Armenian Cathedral of Holy Transfiguration in Moscow, the diocesan Primate His Eminence Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan performed an ordination of Acolytes. 14 Armenians of different ages serving in the Armenian churches of Chalter village in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Tver, Rostov received their Acolytes degrees.

The clergy of the Russian-Armenian diocese condemned the genocidal actions of Azerbaijan in Artsakh


On September 19, the annual three-day meeting of priests began in the Armenian Church in Moscow,  under the chairmanship of His Eminence Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan. The diocesan Primate referred to the catastrophic situation created in Artsakh as a result of Azerbaijan's large-scale attack, the aim of which is to depopulate Artsakh with a genocidal policy. The clergymen issued a statement.

Pastoral visit to the Armenian community of Uzbekistan


On September 6, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan, His Eminence Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan, left for Uzbekistan on a three-day pastoral visit to celebrate the events dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the consecration of the Holy Mother of God Church in Samarkand.

A newly built Armenian church was consecrated in Ulyanovsk


Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan His Eminence Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan presided over the consecration ceremony of the newly built Armenian church in the city of Ulyanovsk. The church was built with apricot-colour tuff brought from Armenia. It is located in the center of the city, next to the widest bank of the Volga River.
He named the newly consecrated church after St. Gregory the Illuminator.

The newly built Armenian church in Tyumen was consecrated


The diocesan Primate Ezras, who went to Tyumen on a pastoral visit, was greeted with special concern by the local Armenians. The cause of universal joy was the consecration and opening of the newly built church, which Tyumen Armenians had been waiting for for more than three years.

On May 25, His Eminence Archbishop Ezras Nersesyan departed for Khabarovsk from left Moscow to officiate the blessing of the foundations of the newly built church.

Moscow- Commemoration ceremonies of Armenian Genocide martyrs


On April 24, in the Armenian Holy Transfiguration Cathedral in Moscow, a prayer service was held in memory of the canonized martyrs of the Armenian Genocide. At the end of the ceremony, the diocesan Primate read the message of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on the occasion of the day of remembrance of the holy martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
