To prevent collisions, the Mother See has sent priests to the demonstration sites

On April 22, Karekin II Catholicos of All Armenians had a meeting with the President of Nagorno Karabakh Bako Sahakyan in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The Catholicos of All Armenians and the President of Artsakh shared their concerns over the recent happenings in Yerevan.  His Holiness marked with pain that unfortunately the efforts made for a dialog to happen, failed and a collision took place between the demonstrators and the Police. “We hope and pray for the situation to settle as smoothly as possible and for restoration of normal life routine”, - stated the Armenian Patriarch and added that the priests of the Mother See are involved in these processes to prevent clashes and respective consequences.
