There are no insurmountable difficulties
 
If there was no war, the life of mechanizer Karo Hambardzumyan would have taken a completely different course. He spent most of the year in Russia working abroad. He returned to Armenia for the four-day, then 44-day war and went to Artsakh with the Tigran Mets detachment. On October 3, Karo Hambardzumyan was injured in Madaghis. He is now preparing for a complex operation and hopes that his leg will be restored as a result. Karo Hambardzumyan believes that there are no insurmountable difficulties in life and in general, there is no life without difficulties.

God-given life cannot be wasted
 
Injured in the 44-day war, Gagik Mirzoyan remembers in detail the events that took place on the battlefield from September 27, 2020 to the day he was injured. The main lesson learned from the war is not to waste the life given by God, and to live with dedication and love. After living in silence and self-restraint for a long time, he realized that he stayed alive because he had important things to do.

Harutyun Mkrtchyan, a resident of Meghrashat village in Shirak region, lost his leg, his health and his childhood friend during the 44-day war. Harutyun undergoes one operation after another, but he hopes that everything will be fine, that God will protect him, because he still has work to do.

A seriously wounded man of war makes everyone live
 
After being seriously injured during the 44-day war, Artyom Sarukhanyan underwent 17 operations. After being wounded, he was transferred from Martakert hospital to Goris, and then to Yerevan. All that time, Artyom thought that he had lost his leg and that the doctors might not be able to restore it. In Goris, he was informed that the first operation was successful, but would his leg be restored?

The Armenian Bible Society has appointed a new general secretary


The annual congress of the Bible Society of Armenia was convened in Yerevan, where three members of the board of trustees were elected, who appointed Father Husik Smbatyan as the new general secretary. The annual budget was also approved at the congress. This year, too, the Armenian Bible Society will be under the special attention of the program "Relief of Trauma", which helps those forcibly displaced from Artsakh to overcome the difficult feelings of deportation, depatriation and loss of relatives.

The prayer book saved the lives of father and son Terzyans during the 44-day war, Aram Terzyan's life was saved by the pocket prayer book and cross. The enemy's bullet hit the prayer book of the pocket-pock, which protected Aram like a bulletproof vest. The same prayer book also protected Aram's father during the first Artsakh war. After being treated in the "Soldier's House", Aram donated the prayer book to the chapel opened in the rehabilitation center. Now Aram is the coordinator of "Soldier's house" in Shirak region.

Yerevan once again hosted the participants of Cultural Youth Program “Our Marz and Us” visited Yerevan. This time the guests were around 80 gifted young people from 17 cultural education institutions of Shirak Marz.

New Year in Special School N17 of Yerevan


Children with motor system disorders, mental issues study in Special School N17 of Yerevan. Most of the children stay overnight there and goes back to their families only on holidays. The day of our visit the institutions was in a pre-festive mood. The children and pedagogues were visited by the Vicar of Ararat Patriarchal Diocese, Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan, Father Norayr, pastor of St. Sargis Church of Nor Nork, members of women and youth unions of parish communities.

2013 International Christmas Bazaar


The proceeds from this year’s International Christmas Bazaar organized by the International Women’s Association of Yerevan will be used to support the children of Lori Marz and also programs targeting socially insecure families. The bazaar exhibited handicrafts of Ambassadors, their family members, public figures and artists.
