What’s the relationship between ceramics, national Armenian cousine, folk dance and song? The children of ceramics class of Cross of Armenian Unity organization tell everything about it. 

At this place, they learn writing, composing, listening and to be listened to. The students of journalism class in Arabkir Armenian Church Youth Center study journalism not only in the classroom, but rather they take interviews, organize talk-shows, and conduct surveys.

The students of miniature class in Etchmiadzin Armenian Church Youth Center make attempts to present the medieval miniatures in an innovative manner. They don’t copy, but rather learn the rich heritage of Armenian miniatures and paint in their unique ways. 

 

The students of wood-carving class of Nor Nork Armenian Church Youth Center can perfectly make the difference between soft and hard types of the wood. They also know that to become a good specialist, they must study anatomy, history, geometry and drawing. What they learn now is to feel and love the wood.

 

The students of Macrame Class of Nor Nork Armenian Church Youth Center are guided by the saying “ A village stands a tree trunk breaks” and helping each other accomplish the most difficult tasks. They wove their last work “Grape Vine” in five months. They undo the coils together, wweave together, admire and enjoy together. Now they are getting prepared for a new exhibition. 

 

The works of embroidery class of Etchmiadzin Armenian Church Youth Center are often mistaken for paintings. Here they learn to work big miracles with a small needle. They get really happy that their works decorate and color the walls of Armenian Church Youth Center. 

 

11 years old Mariam attends the Arabkir Armenian Church Youth Center since she was seven. “Here my soul gets stronger”, -she says. Every day she learns something new: carpet weaving, plays kanoon or piano and sings. However, the most important thing she learnt here was to recognize and appreciate kindness. 

 

“Kantegh” Choir of Arabkir Armenian Church Youth Center has 20 years of history. Mamikon is their conductor and senior friend. Apart from singing together, they like visiting various museums together, concerts and later tell about their adventures.s 

 

The rules of chess teach making right moves in the real life too. This is what the children of the chess class of Nor Nork Armenian Church Youth Center believe in. Besides, the chess figures are utterly interesting, once you strain your imagination you get to meet them in reality… 

“When I broke my hand and stayed home for several months, I understood that my life was boring and monotonous without dance”, - says 15 years old Anahit. There are around 40 children like her in this class, they all dream of dancing in Narek Dance Ensemble of Nor Nork Center, perform in different stages of the world and become famous dancers.
