11 years old Mariam attends the Arabkir Armenian Church Youth Center since she was seven. “Here my soul gets stronger”, -she says. Every day she learns something new: carpet weaving, plays kanoon or piano and sings. However, the most important thing she learnt here was to recognize and appreciate kindness.
