Festive liturgies and celebrations of the Transfiguration of our Lord Jesus Christ (Vardavar) took place in different churches and communities of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia.

The Support of the Georgian-Armenians to the Renovation of Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin


An exhibition-sale of works by artists and puppet makers was organized in the "Hayartun" Center of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia. Proceeds will be transferred to the renovation Foundation of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin. 

Armenian Diocese of Georgia Celebrates the Feast of the Holy Translators


On June 24, a festive liturgy was celebrated in the Holy Etchmiadzin Church of Havlabar on the occasion of the memory of the Holy Translators Sahak Partev and Mesrop Mashtots.

The newly appointed vicar of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia, Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Kirakos Davtyan, offered his first liturgy in the St. Gevork Church in Tbilisi. 
 
 

Vardaton in the Armenian Diocese of Georgia


On May 30, the Vardaton dedicated to Sayat Nova started from the house No. 18 on Amaghleba Street. The march from Hovhannes Tumanyan's apartment reached to St. Gevork, reminding the residents of Tbilisi of the memory of Sayat-Nova, a singer of friendship of people born in this city.

 

 

Feast of the Ascension in the Armenian Diocese of Georgia


On the Feast of the Ascension, Rev. Fr. Zaven Yazichyan, spiritual pastor of the Karmir village of Kvemo Kartli and Shahumyan village offered a Divine Liturgy in the Holy Etchmiadzin church in Tbilisi. 

The 150th anniversary of Komitas in Tbilisi


On September 26, the birthday of Archimandrite Komitas, a festive event was held in Tbilisi on the initiative of the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Church.

The presentation of three books by Hovhannes Tumanyan in Georgian took place at the Celebration Hall of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia in Tbilisi, summing up the series of events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Tumanyan and Komitas in Georgia.

 

 

Feast of the Holy Resurrection in the Armenian Diocese of Georgia


On April 4, the Feast of the Holy Resurrection of our Lord was celebrated in all churches of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia: Tbilisi, Rustavi, Batumi, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Marneuli, Tsalka and Tetritsgharoi regions. The churches were crowded both on the evening of the candlelight and on the day of the feast.

A prayer for healing offered in the Armenian Diocese of Georgia


The increasing number of coronavirus diseases in Armenia has caused panic among our compatriots in Georgia. A general prayer for healing was offered in St. George Church in Tbilisi. 

 

 

Armenians of Tbilisi celebrated Feast of the Universal Holy Church of Etchmiadzin


On the occasion of the Feast of Holy Etchmiadzin, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Churches of the Armenian Dioceses of Georgia. The Feast was also celebrated in the Holy Etchmiadzin church in Armenian Havlabar.
