Sergeant Artur Hovhannisyan, who completed his treatment in Canada, was hosted in Holy Echmiadzin


Artur Hovhannisyan, who was wounded in the 44-day war, went to Canada in September, with the blessing of the Patriarch of All Armenians, to receive treatment and prosthetics with the support of the Canadian Armenian and Aragatsotn dioceses. After returning, together with his family, he visited again to receive the blessing of the Armenian Pontiff.

On the day of the commemoration of St. Stepanen Proto-Deacon, the Patriarch of All Armenians received both newly ordained deacons and deacons serving in various structures of the Mother See. The Patriarch urged to remain brave and indomitable in difficult situation.

At the end of the Sunday liturgy held on December 18, a prayer for peace and solidarity was performed under the solemn leadership of the Patriarch of All Armenians Karekin II, for the sake of the safe, secure and peaceful life of the people of Artsakh.  Then the Catholicos of All Armenians sent his message to the people of Artsakh and all Armenians.

Granting of Doctrinal Staff in St. Mesrop Mashtots Church


According to the accepted order, the oral defense of the doctrinal thesis is followed by the passing of the staff granting ceremony. In Saint Mesrop Mashtots Church of Oshakan Reverend Fr. Poghos Vardanyan was given a Doctrinal staff. On the same day, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Fr. Poghos also received the blessings of the Catholicos of All Armenians.
