Two Generations: Experts and Students Talk about Peace

The opinions of experts Alexan Arzumanyan, Manvel Sargsyan, Yerevan State University students, Youth Union members of Armavir Diocese of the Armenian Church expressed on the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and regional peace.

Information War

The program tells about the role of Armenian and Azeri mass media played for the 20 year long Karabakh conflict. The experts address the differences between information and propaganda and assess work practices of mass media. It is noted, that after the ceasefire the parties use mass media instead of bullets emphasizing the reasons for deficiencies in professional journalism in both countries.

New Year Cousine

The “Cross of Armenian Unity” is one of the first non-governmental organizations of independent Armenia. It allows the children and youth of vulnerable groups to master various crafts and arts on free basis through disclosing and developing their skills. The organization especially takes pride in its national kitchen group. The children attending the classes cook traditional Armenian dishes and celebrate the New Year in the way they used to do in older times.

ECLOF -Mission

The film tells about the activities of ECLOF Foundation operating within the area of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The loans and credits provided by the Foundation, which is a member of ECLOF International Global family, helped a number of communities in solving the issue of job creation. The organizations supports socially vulnerable and isolated families to improve their social and economic conditions. The main hero of the film is a family determined to migrate which with the help of ECLOF Foundation, set up a business. Presently this business is deemed to be one of the most successful and well-established ones in Armenia.

Gender Equality: Disguised Threats

On May 30, 2013, National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia adopted the Law N 57 “On Provision of Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Man”. No public discussions were held during the process of adopting the Law. The clergy and a number of cultural and public figures claim that the title of the Law has in fact nothing to do with its content which refers to gender (obtained sexual behavior) and gender equality. There are some who go as far as to claim that this is an attempt to shake the roots of traditional Christian family by legitimizing perversion.

Izmirlian Medical Center

The TV program is about the foundation of Izmirlian Medical Center (formerly Institute of Proctology), successes and hardships. The film presents the achievements of the Center since its privatization and renovation in 2002, following its transfer under the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, construction of the new facilty in 2008, replenishment and opening.

TWENTY YEARS LATER

With the Referendum on September 21, 1991, we uttered our “yes” to independence. Independence is an absolute value, means of preserving our national identity. To what extent it has become a guarantee for the Armenian identity, what issues are still present 20 years past: all these issues are commented by the public figures who stood at the sources of independence.

The film was produced on the occasion of the 20^th Anniversary of Independence of Armenia.
