Gevorkian Theological Seminary will start its new academic year 2015-2016 with the new Dean Rev. Fr.This year, 77 applicants passed examinations in the education institutions of the Mother See. 29 of them entered Vaskenian Seminary, 14 – Gevorkian Seminary. The latter will step to its new academic year with the newly-appointed dean Rev. Fr. Garegin Hambardzumyan.

The Diocese of Tavush hosted pilgrims from Yerevan on the Feast of AssumptionOn August 15, on the Feast of Assumption of the Holy Mother of God, a group of Church-devoted young people visited St. Hovhannes newly constructed Church in Berd, Tavush, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Dajad Davidian. The pilgrims also visited the famous national park of the city “Soran”, where a festival of berries and honey was taking place. At the end of the day, the priests under the guidance of the newly-elected Primate of Tavush Diocese Bishop Bagrat Galstanyan blessed the grape.

Visit of a group of children from Davitashen administrative district of Yerevan to the Holy EtchmiadA group of children from Davitashen administrative district accompanied by the social staff of the Community Municipality visited Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. This was the very first visit for many of them because of health or financial issues. The children visited the Museum of Holy Etchmiadzin and received gifts from the Social Services Center of the Mother See.

International Festival “Vardavar” in Geghard and GarniThis initiative of educational-cultural and cognitive nature brough over 150 Armenian and foreign young men from dozens of countries. Khachkar dedicated to St. Sarkis was placed in the yard of St. Sarkis Church in Nor NorkOn the Eastern hillside of St. Sarkis Church in Nor Nork, a gate made of cross-stones is being constructed. Year after year, a new khachkar is added to this deserted place with the support of believer benefactors decorating the surroundings of the Church. Recently, another khachkar was consecrated.
