This year “Directors across Borders” Project will be implemented by “Golden Apricot” Fund for Cinema Development with the support of EU-funded Eastern Partnership Culture Programme.
The contest Prose 2013 was launched.

From June 27-29, three day forum called “Translation Everywhere” was held in Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art.
The exhibition of untimely departed painter, Varuzhan Vardanyan, was opened in “Artevale” Art Salon.
From July 1-8, Gyumri hosted Duet International Theatrical Festival, where the plays are performed only by two actors.

Spanish writer Gonzalo Guarch has authored a trilogy on the Armenian Genocide. Two of his books were translated into Armenian and published. On June 20 the presentation of the books in AYB school took place.

The letters, paintings and poetic verses of Artavazd Tumanyan, son of the All-Armenian Poet, compiled in one book. The second book of the series “Sons of Tumanyan” was published.

The novel “The Bastard of Istanbul” brought its author Elif Shafak to stand in front of the court in 2006. On June 20, in Bureaucrat Bookshop the discussion of the book took place.

What was the quest of Harutyun Kalents in his creations on the brink of 1960-s? The exhibition of Harutyun Kalents “Harutyun Kalents: Color inside the Form” was opened in Gafesjian Center for the Arts.

Two of Armenian artists returned from the 15^th Solo Theater Festival “Vidlunnia” in Kyiv with two honorary awards.

“120 minutes with Mikhail Zhvanetsky": Mikhail Zhvanetsky first time performed his new humoristic program in Yerevan.

Yerevan saw June 13 as dedicated to the writer, journalist, Sergey Dovlatov.

From June 1 to November 24, Armenia participates in 55^th International Biennale of Venice presenting Ararat Sarkissian's “Tale of David the Lad and Khandut the Lass”.

In National Center of Aesthetics hosts personal exhibition of one of the most vivid representatives of painting and graphics, Albert Hakobyan.

Famous Polish producer Krzysztof Zanussi was in Yerevan from June 6-7.
“The presence of photographer should not be felt in the shot. His only real role is to be a secret witness”. Ara Guler, Istanbul-based Armenian photographer was in Armenia last week.
On June 7, the exhibition of eminent sculptor Nikolay Nikoghosyan was opened in the National Gallery of Armenia.
“My prose is a diary-keeping, to be overweening – it is a bit of a historiography…”. On June 4, a meeting with the poet and writer Armen Shekoyan on the occasion of his 60th anniversary took place in Akanat café.
Three citizens, three looks: three Yerevans within one area. On June 5, the exhibition titles “Three Looks upon Yerevan” was opened in the Chamber Theatre of Yerevan.

On June 1, in the Modern Art Museum, opening of the exhibitions of Henri Elbakyan “My Contemporaries” and of Henri and Vahik Elbakyans’ “Two Generations” took place.
Writings of 22 Armenian and 22 Russian-language contemporary authors in original texts and translated. On May 29, in Avetik Isahakyan Library the presentation-reading of “Letters on Stone” poetry collection was held.
The name of Aram Haigaz is not so famous in his own motherland. Third volume of the Diaspora Armenian writer of the series “Forgotten Pages” was published.
Varuzhan Sahakyan, the author of a number of architectural structures in Yerevan and in Marzes, has painted too, and even made an attempt to sculpt. On May 29, in Bureaucrat Bookshop, the exhibition of paints by the architect was opened.
Romantic drama with underlying human relationships. Diana Kardumyan presented her third short film “Dialogues” in Moscow Cinema.
On June 1, the International Children’s Day was observed.

Exhibition of archived materials on the Armenian Genocide never presented in Armenia before. On May 25, a photo exhibition "Following the Traces of Armenian Orphans" was opened in National Gallery of Armenia.
The writings of Robert Burns, Dylan Thomas, Joan Rowling, Vidiadhar Naipaul were read in the Metro Stations of Yerevan. Armenia joined to the Pan-European "Literature Night" initiative this year too.
From July 7-14, Yerevan will witness a rich harvest of apricot. The "Golden Apricot" 10th Jubilee International Film Festival will be full of surprises.
"The most important thing for a painter is mastery, when the hand is capable of fulfilling the images originating in the imagination and brain", - says Eduard Artsrunyan, RA National Painter. The album "Masterpieces of Artsrunyan" has been published.

Yeghishe Charents House - Museum and Luys Foundation published the book “Charents: 40 Poems” in Armenian-English. The book contains both the poems of the poet and also the verses he created over various years.

On May 6-10, Story Development Workshop for the “Directors across Borders” Project was held in Yerevan.

“Barekamutyun” dance ensemble won Grand Prix of an international dance festival “Super Dance from folk to modern” held in Saint Petersburg.

Photographs of famous Armenian and Egyptian famous artists in one hall. Personal exhibition of photographer-designer Tatev Mnatsakanyan was displayed at UN House in Armenia.

The history and present of an ancient Armenian settlement located at the foot of the Mount Musa presented within 30 minutes… On May 7, "Kessab" documentary movie by the journalist Nane Bagratuni was premiered in "Narekatsi" Art Union.

International Puppet Theatre Festival will be launched in Poltava, Ukraine, with the staging of “The Italian Girl in Algiers” of the Theatre Karapet.

On May 13-19, the Republican open festival Art – Fest will be held in Yerevan.
