Weekly Church Life: August 22-28

Over the recent years, the period of August 22-28 was memorable in particular for ground blessing and consecration ceremonies of churches. At present, they are functioning and play significant role in the communities.

Weekly Church Life: August 29 – September 4

The week of August 29-September 4 of different years was rich in medal award ceremonies, lauching of a number of projects and visits by high ranking guests. 

December 26 to January 1

Happy New Year and Christmas: almost everything that takes place this week start and finish with this congratulation. Weekly church life starting from December 26 and finishing in January is replete with good mood, love, charities and surprises. 
On the New Year night, the believers also take blessing, love and also blessed pomegranate with them home to continue celebration at home with loved ones. This week Holy Nativity fasting starts and during the program you will know what is the most favorite lenting good of our Supreme Patriarchs. 


October 31 – November 6

In 2013, this week, the 10th Conference of World Church Council was convened in Busan city, South Corea. That day, the conderence univocally participants elected Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, as a WCC Chairman for the next 8 years. 
During the week of October 31-November 6, 6 Archimandrites of the Armenian Church were ordained as bishops, 4 churches were consecrated in different Marzes of Armenia.


November 21-27

What agreement was signed between the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the RA Ministry of Justice on November 25 of 2015? What are its outcomes?

November 14-20

The week between November 14-20 of different years featured bestowing of “St. Sahak, St. Mesrop” medals of the Armenian Church to academicians Sen Arevshatyan and Vilen Hakobyan, painter Eduard Isabekyan and writer Karpis Surenyan. The consecration ceremonies of Holy Trinity Church of Yerevan and St. Gayane Church of Jermuk were also held during this week. 

November 7-13

In what manner and when did the holy relics of the first Armenian Pontiff Gregory the Illuminator, which were under the custody of Neapol St. Grigor Monastery Desert for over 500 years, reach Holy Etchmiadzin. 
Under what circumstances did the first Armenian Gospels printed in Venice in 1661, get to the Mother See.

October 24-30

The most notable event of this week was the election of the 132nd holder of Illuminator's throne – Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. 
The blessing of grounds of Artashat’s and Dilijan’s Churches, the re-consecration of Holy Mother of God Church of Gugark Diocese also took place during these days. 


October 17-23

We’ve singled out the video on reopening of Haghartsin Monastic Complex from the week between October 17-23. It’s remarkable that the renovation of this medieval Armenian monument was funded by an Arab philanthropist. 
The Pan-Armenian pilgrimage march “Of Love, Faith and Loyalty” so far being unique, also took place during this week. 


September 26 - October 2

The week from September 26 to October 2 of the last 17 years was marked by two Muron blessing ceremonies, episcopal ordinations, and opening of Karekin I educational center. 
The duplicates of two famous 12th century cross-stones, which were preserved in Western Armenia, were installed in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. 


October 10-16

Six years ago, this week, the longest ropeway in the world – “Ta Tever” was opened. The new building of Izmirlian Medical Center deemed to be one of the most advanced medical institutions of Armenia, operating under the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, was also opened this very week. 
This week, though in various years, were consecrated St. Hovhannes Church of Kotayk, Holy Mother of God Church of Meghradzor, St. Karapet Church of Yekaterinburg.
