Head Chaplain of Armenian Armed Forces Visited Artsakh


From September 26 to 29, on the occasion of the 1st year anniversary of the 44-day War of Artsakh,  Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Movses Sargsyan, Head Chaplain of Armenian Armed Forces; visited Arsakh. Archimandrite Movses Sargsyan visited different military units of the Defense Army, met with the soldiers and their commanders, offered a Requiem Services at the memorials erected in memory of the fallen soldiers.

Like many others Deacon Gegham ends his day in the "Yerablur"


On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, we visited Deacon Gegham Avetisyan, a minister of the St. Gregory the Illuminator Church, at the "Yerablur" Military Pantheon. His nephew, 18-year-old Narek Avetisyan, was killed in the 44-day war.

On 13 September, the day following the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, a Memorial  Divine Liturgy was celebrated in all Armenian churches. In St. Gayane Monastery at the conclusion of Divine Liturgy , the members of the Brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin visited the Congregational Cemetery, the tomb of the recently deceased Father Maghakia.
On the same day, a Repose of Souls Servic was offered at the St. Vardanants Martyrs Church of Yerablur Memorial in Yerevan for tranquility of the martyred Armenian sons of blessed memory. 

Feast of the Birth of St. Mary in the newly built church in Dilijan


On 08 September Armenian Church celebrated the commemoration of the Birth of St. Mary ( the Mother of God) from her mother Anna. A large number of faithful visited the newly built church in Dilijan during the Divine Liturgy. 

Baptism of conscripts in the Mother See


After being solemnly enlisting into the Armenian army, the newly recruited soldiers were baptized in the chapel-baptistery of St. Vardan and St. Hovhannes Mkrtich in the Mother See.

St. Davit church being built in Pushkino village of Lori


 On August 25, Primate of the Gugark Diocese His Grace Bishop Hovnan Hakobyan consecrated the foundation of St. David Church in Pushkino administrative district of Gyulagarak community.  The church is being built with the assistance of the family of Moscow-based artist Angela Stepanyan.

Blessing Service of Ashot the Iron Cross-badges in Holy Mother of God Church in Kanaker


It is already two conscriptions, the Tovmasyan Charitable Foundation has sponsored the making of crosses. Attending the Blessing Service of Ashot the Iron Cross-badges in Holy Mother of God Church in Kanaker were the soldiers of the 5th Army Unit, accompanied by officers and command staff. 

Feast of St. John the Baptist and St. Atanagine the Bishop


On June 20, the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church commemorated the sacred feast of St. John the Baptist and St. Atanagine the Bishop, which coincides with the pilgrimage day of the Holy Shoghakat Monastery.
 
 

The 17th anniversary of the consecration of St. Stephen's Church in Chknagh


Every year on the Sunday following June 20, is the pilgrimage day of the St. Stephen's Church in Chknagh village of Aragatsotn diocese. On that occasion, the relic of St. Stephen the Protodeacon which is mept in the Mother See museum, is taken to the church.
