	Destroyed Holy Cross Church of Chichkhanavank reconstructed and anointed The Primate of Gugark Diocese Archbishop Sebouh Chuldjian consecrated Holy Cross Church of Chichkhanavank. The holy place dating back to the 6th century was destroyed in the result of 1988 earthquake. Hayk and Hilda Manjikians assumed the responsibility of funding the reconstruction of the Monastery. The architect is Stepan Nalbandyan.
	The Diocese of Tavush hosted pilgrims from Yerevan on the Feast of Assumption On August 15, on the Feast of Assumption of the Holy Mother of God, a group of Church-devoted young people visited St. Hovhannes newly constructed Church in Berd, Tavush, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Dajad Davidian. The pilgrims also visited the famous national park of the city “Soran”, where a festival of berries and honey was taking place. At the end of the day, the priests under the guidance of the newly-elected Primate of Tavush Diocese Bishop Bagrat Galstanyan blessed the grape.
	Pre-examination preparations in Gevorkian Theological Seminary Over the last days, preparatory classes are offered for the applicants of Gevorkian Theological Seminary. Last year, the examination consultations were run by the Seminary professors, however, this year the same task has been entrusted to the deacons.
	“To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee now in a new Armenian translation On July 30, the presentation of the Armenian translation of the book “To Kill a Mockingbird” by American writer Harper Lee was held in Loft Center. The novel was published by Zangak Publishing House. Aram Arsenyan translated it from the original.
	Meeting Artavazd Peleshian On July 28, a meeting with National Artist, film director Artavazd Peleshian was organized in Moscow Cinema. The Master of music, Tigran Mansuryan, spoke about the Master of cinema. The films authored by the film director “Natives”, “Seasons of the Year”, “End” and “Life” were screened during the meeting.
	Summer Camp operating under Holy Mother of God Church in Odzun Ten years ago, upon the initiative of Father Vrtanes Baghalyan, a Summer Camp was established under the Holy Mother of God Church in Odzun. Today, around 130 children enjoy their summer rest in the Camp. The camp counselors come here from different communities of Lori Marz on voluntary basis.
	Armenia in “Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space” with “Red Hail” performance design i Prague Quadrennial is the most famous event in the world in the area of performance design. Armenia participated in this even for the second time. This year Armenia was represented with its “Red Hail” project to commemorate the centenary of the Armenian Genocide. The project is based on a photograph made by Norwegian missionary Bodil Biorn, in 1910, in Western Armenia.
	Apricot blessing ceremony in St. Anna Church of Yerevan The celebratory Divine Liturgy of Transfiguration was followed by the blessing of apricot to mark the onset of the 12th International Film Festival Golden Apricot. The ceremony was held in the newly-constructed St. Anna Church of Yerevan.
	Closing of 11th International Music Festival “National Gallery” 11th International Music Festival “National Gallery” commenced on July 18 and awarded the Yerevan audience with a one-month unforgettable moments of classic music. The musicians believe that the festival will offer them new opportunities of cooperation.
	Exhibition of Estonian contemporary printmaking in Yerevan The exhibition of Estonian contemporary printmaking titles “Amazement of Existence” was opened in the Artists’ Union.
	Tigran Tsitoghdzyan’s exhibition at Cafesjian Center for the Arts The exhibition “Tigran Tsitoghdzyan: Mirrors” showcased six paintings featuring most recent compositions of the artist. Tigran Tsitoghdzyan lives and creates his compositions in New York. His works were not exhibited in his homeland for around twenty years.
	Armenian community in Tambov city of Russia building a new Church By the initiative of Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Nor Nakhijevan and Russia, on June 2, the foundation of the Church to be built in Tambov were consecrated. The architectural plan is authored by Hakob Babakhanyan. The house of prayer is constructed with the efforts of the local Armenian diocese.
