Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem in the Square of StepanakertOn the occasion of Artsakh Independence Day, on September 1 the premiere of Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem was performed in Stepanakert. It was devoted to the victims of Armenian Genocide and Artsakh war victims. The concert was attended by the Presidents of Armenia and ArtsakhSerzh Sargsyan and Bako Sahakyan, the Primate of Artsakh Diocese Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan and other officials. The initiative was implemented within the scope of the state events dedicated to the centenary of Armenian Genocide.

Wounded Deacon in recoveryOn the evening of August 11, Deacon Hovhannes Galstyan serving in a military unit, had sustained a gunshot wound to his head during Azerbaijan’s intelligence-gathering and diversionary infiltration attempt into one of the military units in Karabakh. Two of the accompanying soldiers are unharmed, while the driver sustained a wound to his shoulders. Deacon Hovhannes already underwent a surgery and as the doctors report, his life is no longer in danger.
