Ordination of priests on the Feast of St. Ghevond the PriestToday, the Armenian Apostolic Church marks the Feast of St. Ghevond the Priest and His Companions, the commemoration day of priests who were deceased in the Battle of Avarayr and made into saints. After the festive Divine Liturgy in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, 8 deacons were ordained as priests. Bishop Bagrat Galstanian named one of ordained priests after the martyred elder – Father Ghevond.
