Cooperation between Samvel Mkrtchyan and Antares Publishing House produced a one volume book of novels by William Faulkner “The Bear” and “Absalom, Absalom”, which are the masterpieces of the contemporary American prose of XX century.
Publishing House of the Mother See published “The Armenian Genocide and the Armenian Cause: A Bibliography of Books 1862-2010” by Avag Harutyunyan. The book presents comprehensive bibliography of around 17000 books dedicated to the Armenian Genocide in 19 languages.

Slovakian Opera Stars in Armenia


On September 18, the stage of A. Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Theatre hosted the opera stars of Slovakia. The concert was organized by the Ministries of Culture of two countries. The visit of Slovak singers will be proceeded by the concert of Armenian singers in Slovakia.

Antares Publishinգ House published the most famous novel by Jerome Salinger “The Catcher in the Rye”, a masterpiece mostly known to the Armenian reader as “in the rye, in the edge of abyss (Над пропастью во ржи)” in Russian translation.
Publishing House of the Mother See published the thesis of Bishop Hovhannes Shahkhatunyants “Signature of the Mother Cathedral of Etchmiadzin and Five Provinces of Ararat” developed by philologist Armen Ter-Stepanyan.

8th International Music Festival kicked off


With the very first concert of the festival, State Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia opened the 2014 – 2015 concert season.
One of the best pianists of the world, Kirill Gerstein, attended the opening of the festival.

St. Catherine Armenian Church of St. Petersburg renovated


On September 10, on the occasion of completing the renovation and improvement of St. Catherine Armenian Church, the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko visited the Church. The guest was received by the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and Nor Nakhichevan, Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan.

Newly constructed Armenian Church in Yakutsk, Russia


On September 7, under the presidency of Archbishop Yezras Nerssiyan, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and Nor Nakhichevan, the official ceremony of the consecration and opening of St. Karapet Church was held. The Church was constructed with the support of the local communities’ philanthropists.
