Petros Efenjian after the 44-day war


Petros Efenjian is a participant in the 44-day war.  He was injured in Karvachar, suffered a spinal cord injury. We spent a day with Petros at their house in Ara village of Kotayk region. After the war, Petros's life continues, with a wheelchair, a photo camera, and many plans for the future.

The Gospel of Sangibaran was brought to St. Shoghakat Church


For a decade, the clergy of the Armenian Church have been taking the miraculous Gospel of Sangibaran from the library of Yerevan Matenadaran to St. Shoghakat Church. The Gospel remains here until the end of the evening service.

On the initiative of the Gugark Diocese, a two-day conference entitled "Rebirth: Endangered Khachkars in Western Armenia and Artsakh" was organized in Haghpat Monastery. Replicas of six khachkars of Artsakh and Western Armenia were placed in the Holy Mother of God Monastery of Akhtala.

Assumption of the Holy Mother of God in the St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral

The summer outdoor concert series was concluded by "Little Singers of Armenia"


The spiritual and classical music festival brought hundreds of Yerevan residents and tourists to the St. Anna and Holy Mother of Kathoghike church yard every Friday. The "Tagharan" ensemble of ancient music, "Hover" choir, "Komitas" string quartet took part in the festival. The concert series ended with the performance of the "Little Singers of Armenia" choir.

Sportland in "Eurnekian" Public School


At the end of the school year, Sportland was held at the Eurnekian School acting under the auspices of the Mother See. The coaches are convinced that sportland is the best way to check a child's fitness.

Feast of the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Mother See


Ascension Day is celebrated by our church 40 days after Easter, this year on May 26. On the Feast of the Ascension, the historical event of moving the Pontifical See from Sis, and re-establishing it in Holy Etchmiadzin is celebrated, a Public Prayer is offered. The Brotherhood and faithful pray for the steadfastness of the Armenian Catholicosate.

Feast of the Apparation of the Holy Cross in the St. Gayane Moanstery


Every year, on the fifth Sunday following Holy Easter, our church commemorates the light of the Apparation in the sky of Jerusalem in May 351. Proto-Archimandrite Zakaria Baghumyan offered a liturgy in St. Gayane Monastery under the presidency of the Armenian Patriarch.
