The people of Artsakh are going through a difficult psychological period


The encirclement of Artsakh by Azerbaijan was a type of military operation. When it is not possible to capture the fortress, they close the entrances and exhaust, starve and despair those inside. Even after being in that difficult situation for 10 months, people were ready to endure and live in their land. But on September 19, the enemy launched an attack against unarmed and besieged Artsakh using all modern weapons and in large numbers. In terms of military equipment and numbers, Azerbaijan was many times superior to Artsakh, which resisted for a whole day. Added to that was the explosion near Stepanakert, which killed hundreds of people. People who have gone through all this experience collective and individual traumatic shock, post-traumatic mental disorders, complex psychological, socio-cultural stages of forced resettlement and adaptation. 350 rugs and carpets are displayed in the museum of folk arts


Metal art works, silverware, stone art, ceramics, micro-sculptures, 350 carpets and rugs are displayed in the Hovhannes Sharambeyan Museum of Folk Arts. Artur Hovhannisyan, a disabled soldier, got a job in a bank after getting prosthetics


Artur Hovhannisyan, who miraculously survived the 44-day war, received prosthetics and was treated in Canada with the assistance of the Armenian Apostolic Church. He is currently working in one of the Armenian banks. The program of prosthetics and treatment of military disabled, started by the Mother See in 2016, has changed the lives of many soldiers.

The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the commemoration of Saints John the Forerunner (Baptist) and Bishop Atanagine


May 30 is also the pilgrimage day of the St. Shoghakat Monastery. With the blessing of the Catholicos of All Armenians from the Mother See, the relics of the saints were taken to St. Shoghakat Monastery. The Armenian Patriarch conveyed his blessing, and handed over the reliquary of the saints to Proto-Archimandrite Zakaria Baghumyan in front of the St. Gregory the Illuminator and St. Trdat Open Altar. The procession of clergy went to St. Shoghakat Monastery.

The Armenian Church in times of national disaster

The relics of St. Andreas and St. Matthew Apostles was taken to Sevanavank


On the day of the Pentecost, the day of the Sevanavank vow is celebrated, and according to tradition, holy relics are taken to the church on that day. This year the relics of apostles St. Andreas and St. Matthew were taken to the church. The reliquary, in which the relics of the two saints are enshrined, was made in the city of Baghesh, Western Armenia, in the 18th century. The students of the Youth Centers often win prizes in national and international competitions. Nork's Youth Center is especially distinguished by its high qualities.
