National Gallery hosts the works of one of the most famous Diaspora painters – Sarkis Khachaturian. This is one of the largest exhibition of the painter in his homeland. 

 

On November 12, the conductor’s stand of National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia hosted the Chinese musician James Liu in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. Piano Concerto N 2 of Sergei Rachmaninoff was performed by the RA National Artist Svetlana Navasardyan. The musicians performed together for the first time ever.  

This Sunday, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin celebrated the 17th anniversary of enthronement and anointment of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II. The clergy celebrated the anniversary with believers without the Patriarch himself. These days, the delegation headed by His Holiness was in the US to participate in the meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council. 

On November 1, the History Museum of Armenia marked the exhibition of exhibition “Black: White: Tricolor” of Zaven Khachikyan and the presentation of the book bearing the same name. Hundred and fifty photographs taken over 1983-2000 reflect the history of Armenian independence. 

On October 5, the stage of “Goy” theatre was occupied by yet another band established by Norayr Kartashyan – “Menua” brass band. In parallel to “Van” project, this band too will be performing known and unknown compositions of Armenian folk music. 

Hereinafter, Gevorkian Theological Seminary will enable to do post-graduate program after getting bachelor and master degree and get doctorate qualification in theology. Lilit Arzumanyan, the Chairwoman of the RA Higher Qualification Commission handed the certificate of the Ministry of Education and Science of RA to Karekin II Catholicos of All Armenians.  

 

On September 24, by the initiative of Armenian Spiritual Music Center, Komitas Chamber Music House hosted the celebration of 35th anniversary of establishing Sharakan Ensemble and 70th anniversary of the founder – Daniel Yerazhisht. 

Under the presidency of Supreme Patriarch and through the support of the Armenian community in India, senior Lieutenant Sarkis Gabrielian received necessary medical treatment there. After he returned from India, he was received by Supreme Patriarch.

Dedication and hard work lead to success in the field of medicine”, - believes Dr. Karen Qoloyan, corresponding member of Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) and member of European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS). 

On October 11, Karekin II Catholicos of All Armenians granted “Saint Sahak-Saint Mesrop” and "St. Nerses the Gracious" Medals to Marine Ghazaryan and Tachat Vardanyan for extensive years of devoted service in various structures of Etchmiadzin.
