Armenian Diocese of Romania: Armenian Trace


The program is about the Armenian communities and Churches of Botosani, Iasi, Romani, Tîrgu Ocna, Galati, Braila, Focsani, Pitesti and Constanta, and presents the parish life. These cities are situated in Romanian Moldova and Valahia regions. Catholic Armenians and Churches of Transilvania are also noted.

New instruments provided to musical schools


Based on the results of hearings conducted at musical and art schools, the Ministry of Culture has provided 73 musical instruments to gifted children. This is an on-going initiative.

On March 14, the violin of Dmitry Sitkovetsky was played on the stage of National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after Al. Spendiarian. Sitkovetsky arrived in Yerevan by the invitation of the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia.

Modernism and the Avante-garde in Armenia

From February 21st to May 4th, 2014, the museum Stiftung Moritzburg (Landesmuseum Sachsen-Anhalt) will present the exhibition “Minas and Narek Avetisyan: Modernism and Avant-garde in Armenia” in Halle (Saale), Germany. The Ministry of Culture of Armenia took care of transportation and insurance costs for Minas Avetisyan’s works.
