Premiere at Russian Drama Theatre named after Stanislavsky


On March 14, the play “Like Gods” authored by famous Russian playwright, screenwriter Yuri Polyakov was staged at Russian Drama Theatre named after Stanislavsky. The actors and the artistic crew are very proud that the very first screening of the play was trusted to them by the author himself.

From February 21st to May 4th, 2014, the museum Stiftung Moritzburg (Landesmuseum Sachsen-Anhalt) will present the exhibition “Minas and Narek Avetisyan: Modernism and Avant-garde in Armenia” in Halle (Saale), Germany. The Ministry of Culture of Armenia took care of transportation and insurance costs for Minas Avetisyan’s works.

Presentation and ordination of priests at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin


The evening of February 26 was a ceremony of presentation of priests at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. As per the rules of our Church, the presentation ceremony takes place the previous day of priests’ ordination. On February 27, on the Feast of St. Vartan and his Companions, 10 deacons were ordained into priests in the Mother See.

Divine Liturgy in St. Zoravor Church of St. Vardan and his troops


On this day, a blessing service is offered in all Armenian Churches. The soldiers were also awaited in St. Zoravor. However, because of the visit of the President of Georgia, the garrison was unable to participate in the festive Divine Liturgy. For that reason the believers waiting for them decided to congratulate them on-air at our TV station.

Sergei Dovlatov


Throughout all his life, Sergei Dovlatov managed to publish just one story in his “native” soviet press, and the topic was industry. The writer residing in the State and getting published in the most prestigious periodicals, was only known by “self-published” materials and his own program aired by the “Liberty” radio-station. His last book, the 13th, which was supposed to be published in the Soviet Union, was actually published in 1990, a few days after the writer died.
