The creative group of "Hradamizd" opera met with the Catholicos of All Armenians in Holy Etchmiadzin


Welcoming the visit of famous artists from different countries to the Mother See, the Catholicos of All Armenians II reflected on the initiative to stage the "Hradamizd" opera in Armenia in 2021.

 

 

 

A day of blessing for lawyers will be established by the Catholicos of All Armenians


On September 16, the delegation led by the RA Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan, the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Ruben Vardazaryan, Chairman of the RA Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan were hosted in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin by the Catholicos of All Armenians. The members of the delegation asked the Patriarch of All Armenians to set a day of blessing for lawyers.

Feast of the Holy Cross of Varag Celebrated on September 27


On September 27, the third Sunday of the Feast of Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the Armenian Church commemorated the Feast of the Holy Cross of Varag.

The first week of Great Lent is coming to an end. The second week is called Sunday of Expulsion. On Sunday, February 21, a closed liturgy will be offered in all churches.

 

First Sunrise Service of the Great Lent (17.02.2021)


On February 17, first Wednesday of the Great Lent, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, the Brotherhood of the Mother See, attended the Sunrise Service and prayed that Christ will bring our souls the light of the Spirit, which is as powerful as the light of the sun.

Great Lent to begin from the 15th of February


On Sunday, February 14, following the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ to the Temple is the Great Barekendan. The period of the Holy Week begins from Monday. 48 days after is the Eve of the Feast of Exaltation of the Holy Cross of the Holy Easter. And on April 4, is the Feast of the Holy Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Exhibition dedicated to the Armenian soldier at the Artists' Union


On the occasion of the Feasts of St. Ghevond the Priest and Vardan the Warrior, the exhibition opened at the Union of Artists of Armenia was deducated to the Armenian soldier of all times.

French-Armenian doctors met with the Catholicos of All Armenians


On December 4, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received a group of French-Armenian doctors providing humanitarian and medical assistance in Armenia and Artsakh.

 

 

December 30 as Day of Remembrance of Lusine Zakaryan


28 years ago, on December 30, Lusine Zakaryan, a unique performer of Armenian spiritual songs, entered her eternal rest. A memorial service was organized at the singer's house-museum.

 

 

The Armenian Church celebrates the Feast of the birth of St. John the Forerunner (Baptist)


On January 14, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the  Feast of the birth of St. John the Baptist, which usually follows the Feast of the Naming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. A liturgy was offered in all the churches bearing the Saint's name.
