St. Sarkis Church of Lorut community in Gugark Diocese was re-consecrated.


The Primate of Gugark Diocese Archbishop Sebou Chouldjian re-consecrated the historical prayer house of the village dating back to 1898 - St. Sarkis Church of Lorut village in Lori Marz.  The community of Lorut with over one thousand population did not hav any functioning church up till now. The restoration of destroyed church was a long-waited event.

On September 8, all Christian Churches equivocally celebrate the birthday of Holy Mother of God. The feast of the highest female saint of the Christian Church is a pilgrimage day especially in the churches bearing her name. Տիրամոր ծննդյան տոնն ուխտի օր է հատկապես նրա անունը կրող եկեղեցիներում: September 8 is also the feast of the naming of those with names Mariam, Mary, Yeranuhi, Srbuhi, Perchuhi, Mari.
 

Gifts of New Year and Christmas in Vanadzor’s St. Grigor Narekatsi Church


By the blessing of Gugark Diocese Archbishop Sebou Chouldjian, Vanadzor Community Development Center and “Extend Your Hand” Charity Program brought together around fifty families under the roof of Vanadzor St. Grigor Narekatsi Church. His Holiness Sebou wished those gathered in the Church to overcome the economic hardships and prosperous life. He blessed the participants and  thanks all those whose efforts made this assistance possible.

One of the churches and the courtyard of Horomayr St. Nshan Monastic Complex has been restored


On December 9, the Primate of Gugark Diocese will re-consecrate the restored church of the upper monuments of Horomayr St. Nshan Monastic Complex.

The 30th anniversary of priestly ordination and the 20th anniversary of Bishopric ordination of Bishop Sebouh Chouldjian


The jubilee evening organized by the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, on the initiative of Lori Governor Artur Nalbandyan was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of priestly ordination and the 20th anniversary of bishopric ordination of Bishop Sebouh Chouldjian. His friends, priests, public figures, and philanthropists congratulated His Holiness. Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan conveyed the patriarchal message to him and donated a cross on behalf of the Patriarch Karekin II. 

Garnik Shakhkyan's book "The Glory of Pontifical See”


On the occasion of the 1300th anniversary of the enthronement of Catholicos Hovhan Odznetsi, the book "Glory of Pontifical See" by Garnik Shakhkyan was published with the support of Gugark Diocese and "Lorva Dzor" Compatriotic Union. The presentation of the book was held in the village of Odzun, the birthplace of Catholicos.
