Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Diaspora Armenian Youth Participating in AGBU Programs


The Catholicos of All Armenians blessed the Armenians and highly appreciated the patriotic, educational, and cultural programs implemented by the Armenian General Benevolent Union, thanks to which young people living in different countries have the opportunity to unite in their homeland. This summer, the organization will host 200 young people involved in various programs. Court Changes Nersisyans’ Movement Restrictions


At the court hearing in the case of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II’s brother, Gevorg Nersisyan, and nephew, Hambardzum Nersisyan, the defense lawyers filed a motion to change the Nersisyans’ preventive measure. They argued that the evidence examination phase has ended, therefore they cannot influence the course of the trial. The court partially granted the defense lawyers’ motion, changing the movement restrictions.
 

Gevorgyan Theological Seminary Entrance Exams Have Begun


The Gevorgyan Theological Seminary's entrance exams for the 2026-27 academic year began on June 13. The second round of the seminary's entrance exams is in August. The 150-year-old seminary has been revitalized by the efforts of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. Since 2016, the seminary has been providing three-level education: a 4-year bachelor's degree, a 2-year master's degree, and a 3-year postgraduate degree. Graduates have the opportunity to continue their studies at prestigious educational institutions around the world.

 

Prosecutors Present Hunting Weapon as Evidence in Sacred Struggle Case

Syunik- Khot


The border village of Khot, like neighboring Shinuhayr and Halidzor, was founded as a result of the relocation of an old settlement. Court changes Archbishop Bagrat’s detention to house arrest


The news of changing Archbishop Bagrat’s detention to house arrest came as a surprise to the participants in the court session and to the Archbishop, as in December the same judge had rejected the change in the preventive measure.
