Musician of Yerevan Chamber Orchestra, cello player Ashot Ayvazyan is happy to be born in Armenia and to choose the path of musician. He is fully sure that God abides in everyone, and if He chose someone for something, then He'll have him pass the predestined path with his hand in His hands and will never abandon him in his times of hardship.

Ara Alekyan


For some, the metal waste is merely a metal waste, while for painter sculptor Ara Alekyan it is the origin of a new work, source of inspiration. A simple, ordinary and so familiar to everyone, a piece of metal leaves his studio as a piece of art. The artist is as simple as his materials, though steady and persistent in his faith. In the program series "God in Me", the sculptor remembers his childhood, the road of life and self-recognition.

Ara Gevorgyan


Composer Ara Gevorgyan remembers that as a child, he visited Church quite often and participated in Divine Liturgies. His grandfather was a member of parish board, and his grandmother was singing in St. Hovhannes Church. He felt the real power of faith only when he lost his mother, famous national singer Valya Samvelyan. "If you believe in the existence of God, you should also believe in eternal life", - is deeply convinced the composer.

The Path of the Holy Bible


The Gospel printed in Constantinopole in 1710, was traditionally called "Papei Narek". Often it was mistakingly accepted as Narekatsi's "Matyan". Many were surprise to discover it as the Bible. The miraculous book went through a long and spectacular path before finding its final destination. The participants of the program tell about the path crossed by the Gospel of Constantinople and the miracles. The settlements and families, where the Gospel travelled, are also included.

Izmirlian Medical Center


The TV program is about the foundation of Izmirlian Medical Center (formerly Institute of Proctology), successes and hardships. The film presents the achievements of the Center since its privatization and renovation in 2002, following its transfer under the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, construction of the new facilty in 2008, replenishment and opening.

Loving cinematography


Our heroes are director Diana Kardumian and film critic Raffi Movsisyan.
Author of seven feature and two documentary films, Diana painfully states that owing to barriers, she works less than her abilities would allow her to. However, her love to films is so big that she gets sincere – shooting a film is something she cannot but do it.
Raffi Movsisyan choose his profession accidentally. It is due to that accident that currently he has a favorite job and can’t imagine himself without it. By his profession he watches over 400 films annually. With the help of films, Raffi tries, at least for himself, to “edit” those shortcomings that happen in real life.

Presentation of books “My Kind Dreams to You, My Dears” and “Ararat”


“Edit Print” Publishing House published the book-album “Ararat” of Shmavon Shmavonyan and the encyclopedia dedicated to Paruyr Sevak.

This colorful literary guidebook-encyclopedia Paruyr Sevak “My Kind Dreams to You, My Dears”, describes the human and creative character, literary experience and the path crossed, thoughts and contemplations of Sevak the poet, and the warm words of his writer colleagues. The encyclopedia containing 360 pages has been collected by Yuri Petrosyan for the duration of two years.

The basis of each work, quatrain in this three-language book album “Ararat” by Shmavon Shmavonyan is Ararat; the authors are famous Armenian and foreign writers. The lines devoted to the Biblical mountain are coupled with the paintings of Shmavon Shmavonyan. For almost ten years, the painter has pictured the heights of Ararat at all seasons and from different locations.

Exhibition of Vazgen Bazhbeuk-Melikyan in HayArt


On September 7, HayArt Cultural Center hosted the exhibition of Vazgen Bazhbeuk-Melikyan. The event was organized by “Cultural Dialogue” Foundation. The exhibition features both the early, as well as more mature works of the painter. The opening of the exhibition was marked by the presentation of the first trilingual album of Vazgen Bazhbeuk-Melikyan.

Symposium in Matenadaran dedicated to the Problems of the Preservation of Cultural Heritage


From September 25-27, Matenadaran of M. Mashtots hosted an international Symposium on “Problems of Preservation of Historical-Cultural Heritage”. The participants included renowned scientists from Russia, Georgia, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, and Italy.

The Symposium was dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of “Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum Reservations” SNCO.

Premieres in Chamber Music House


On September 26, for the first time in Armenia, Symphony No33 of Mozart, Vard Manukyan’s “Elegy” for viola and concertante and also “Grave” by J. J. Benda were presented in the Komitas Chamber Music House. Soloists were Ani Aghabekyan and Vache Hoveyan. The conductor’s panel presented Harutyun Arzumanyan.
