Rev. Fr. Benjamin Tsaturyan, the priest displaced from Artsakh

Reverend Fr. Benjamin Tsaturyan went through war, siege and exile with the people of Artsakh. Now he has joined the service in the Masyatsotn Diocese. The topic of the family's daily conversations is Artsakh, their native Astghashen, from which they were forced to leave the entire village in one day.

Rev. Fr. Vachagan Gyurdjian, the priest displaced from Artsakh

Fr. Vachagan, the last priest ordained in Stepanakert's Holy Mother of God church, has his roots from Martakert. He was undergoing a 40-day preparation in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin when the Azerbaijanis blocked the road leading to their native Artsakh, and the long-term siege began. Despite the difficulties, he manages to get to the place of service, Stepanakert's Holy Mother of God Church, and be with his compatriots during the difficult days of the siege. Now, like thousands of Artsakh residents, is in Armenia and trying to adapt to the new reality with his family.

"Luys" vocal quintet

In the near future, the "Luys" vocal quintet is going to go to France for a concert. Usually during the tours, if it coincides with Sunday, the group sings in some church during the liturgy. Sometimes "Luys" also sings in Armenian churches by invitation. The quintet was formed 20 years ago in Geghardavank.

"Katil Band", "Bari Luso"

The folk song "Bari Luso" was written in 1885 by Hayrik Khrimyan. Hayrik Muradyan recorded the song for the first time in the 1970s. Now the song is presented by the band "Katil" with a new arrangement.

Holy Mother of God Church in Yeghipatrush

Built in the 13th century by the order of Vache Vachutyan, the Church of the Holy Mother of God has kept awake not only the spiritual life of Yeghipatrush, but also the surrounding villages. Locals say that the church bell rang so powerfully that it was heard several villages away. Locals tell about the church of the village, the unique khachkars painted in scarlet.

Displacement stories

Stories of forcibly displaced people from different settlements of Artsakh

More than 300 people forcibly displaced from Artsakh now live in Ranchpar village of Ararat region. Their rented apartments are in a poor condition: they have no kitchen, bathroom, beds and household appliances. Usually several people sleep in one room. Most of the forcibly displaced Artsakh residents do not have jobs.

Aruch: Mamikonian residence and 7th century church

Sanctuaries, caravanserai, fort, palace of Mamikonians, many khachkars. However, the pride of the people of Aruch, who have received a rich historical heritage, is the 7th century Saint Grigor Church, next to which was the residence of Grigor Mamikonyan.
