Armenians in jazz: concert in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall


A Jazz night had been organized in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. Levon Malkhasyan handed jazz club association membership certificates to Armenian jazz musicians, including Alina Yengibaryan and Stepan Kojoyan - the director of the three largest jazz festivals of the Europe.

Concert of Krakow Capella in Yerevan dedicated to the Independence Day of Poland


On November 11, Capella Choir of Krakow, Poland, performed in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall guided by Jan Tomasz Adamus. The concert was dedicated to the 98th anniversary of Polish independence. 

Concert of Chamber Choir of Komitas State Conservatory


Chamber Music House of Komitas hosted chorus arrangements of contemporary Armenian composers. The compositions of Davit Halajyan, Vard Manukyan, Khachatur Martirosyan, Jeni Asatryan and others were performed by the Chamber Choir of Conservatory. 

Excavations of Karmir Blur unfolded a new page on burial ritual in Urartu


2015-2016 saw largescale excavations of Karmir Blur (Teishebaini) in Yerevan. The archaeologists unearthed and excavated 281 toms. The head of expedition assure that this will undoubtedly elucidate a new page in the history of the Kingdom of Van.

On October 18, the individual exhibition of Czech painter, designer Karen Zeman was opened in the Museum of Yerevan History. The compositions of Zeman were exhibited in Armenia for the first time.
