Exhibition dedicated to the Independence opened in the Modern Art Museum


On October 7, the Fine Arts Center “High Art” had organized an exhibition in Modern Art Museum dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenian independence. The exhibition featured the compositions of Armenian authors of XX-XXI centuries. 

Japanese Theatre “Noh” in Yerevan


From September 26 to October 8, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and Komitas Museum-Institute organize an international conference-festival “Komitas” in Yerevan and Haghpat. On September 27, the festival hosted Japanese Theatre Noh.

Komitas Museum-Institute hosts a temporary exhibition entitled “Armenian Ceramic Art of Kutina”. Kutina or Kutahya is the birthplace of Komitas and one of the two largest glasswork centers in Ottoman Empire.

On September 26, the official opening ceremony of the International Conference-Festival “Komitas and Medieval Culture” was held in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.

Premiere on Puppet Theatre Stage: “Thumbelina”, Andersen’s fairy-tale


Within the scope of High Fest International Performing Arts Festival, Hovhannes Tumanyan Puppet Theatre of Yerevan staged a premiere. The director of theatre inspired new life to the famous fairy-tale “Thumbelina” of Andersen with the help of traditional shadow theatre.

From October 1-8, High Fest 14th International Performing Arts Festival is held in Yerevan.  

Presentation of a Garegin Zakoyan’s documentary “Horse-rider”


The documentary of Garegin Zakoyan “Horse-rider” is based on the establishment story of the Horse-rider (Ayrudzi) Club and “Ayrogi” theatrical group. The presentation of the film was held in Moscow Cinema Theatre.
