Catholicos of All Armenians pays a five-day visit to Berlin

His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, was in Berlin for a five-day visit to participate in the events dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in Europe, together with the heads of Eastern European Orthodox churches. The Armenian Catholicos and the heads of the sister churches met with Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Supreme Patriarch expressed his appreciation and gratitude for supporting the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide. On October 19, the Catholicos of All Armenians met with the former President of the Democratic Republic of Germany, Joachim Gauck.
