Participants of the priestly gathering convened at the Mother See issued a statement

The priests stated that the targeting and persecution of the Church and clergy by the Armenian authorities has disrupted national and church life. The situation has led to negative consequences and tension in the life of communities, which has also been contributed to by the unacceptable behavior of some clergy. In order to avoid new divisions, they call on all priests, faithful to their vow and vocation, to steadfastly follow the rules and regulations of the Holy Apostolic Church, and to pursue the restoration of unity with brotherly love.
