At the end of the Sunday liturgy on December 8, a requiem service was held in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in memory of the victims of the 1988 earthquake. On December 6, until late in the evening, the Holy Resurrection Church of Spitak was crowded. A memorial service dedicated to the memory of the victims of the 1988 earthquake was held under the presidency of Archbishop Sepuh Chuljyan, Primate of the Diocese of Gugark. On December 7, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, members of the government and a large number of guests also visited St. Harutyun Church in Spitak. They also took part in the opening ceremony of the bust of American-Armenian philanthropist Kirk Kerkorian erected next to the church. With the guarantee of the Academic Council of Mashtots Matenadaran, the first comprehensive collection dedicated to Armenian frescoes was published. The topic of the discussion-workshop organized on December 8 at the office of the World Youth Union of the Armenian Church was the physical and caring aspects of a healthy lifestyle.
