His Holiness the Patriarch told reporters that he prayed not only for the souls of the fallen, but also for the Armenian prisoners held in Baku. Prior to that, the Catholicos of All Armenians, together with the Brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Primate of the Mother See, the spiritual leader of the armed forces, and the Primate of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese, prayed for the repose and peace of the souls of the brave sons who gave their lives for the Motherland.
