Archbishop Michael's defense: The state is suppressing free speech with all its tools

At the court hearing in the case of Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan, the Primate of the Shirak diocese, the prosecution tried to substantiate that the Archbishop called for a coup during an interview with a journalist. The defense lawyers noted that the state, with all its tools, suppresses free speech. They recalled the interview given by Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan to Petros Ghazaryan on Public Television, where before the trial the prosecutor spoke about the proceedings against Archbishop Mikayel.
