German historian Michael Hezemann believes that an extremely dangerous situation has arisen for Armenia. The government's statements against the Church are polarizing society. According to him, there are always people who are on the side of the government and there are people who are on the side of the church. He noted that on the one hand, Armenia has taken the path of democracy, but the government is following the path of dictatorship and dictating to the church. Such a thing could never happen in any free, democratic country in Europe.
