The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin strongly condemns the organization of the “Liturgy” ceremonies in the churches of different dioceses by the authorities led by the Prime Minister, with forceful interventions by law enforcement bodies, gross violations of church order and rules, as well as the Constitution, insulting the spiritual feelings of believers and sowing division. The participation of any bishop in the “Liturgy” by bypassing the spiritual authority of the diocesan leader, ignoring the perceived church order and rule is a gross violation of canons, which occurred in the Holy Mother of God Church of the Shirak Diocese. While still refraining from applying strict measures, the Mother See urges the violators of the canons to stop their perverse course and public speeches with false and fabricated content, and to return to the canonical field.
