The participants of the Bishops’ Assembly noted with deep concern and condemnation that due to groundless criminal prosecution, the Armenian Patriarch and 6 bishops were blocked from Armenia and from participating in the venerable assembly of great importance in the life of the Church, and that due to the artificially created obstacle, they were forced to listen to the Patriarchal message of the Catholicos of All Armenians via video link. The enthroned heads of the other Ecumenical Sees also sent their messages to the assembly. At the end, a statement was published, signed by all twenty-five bishops.
