The Primate of the Vayots Dzor Diocese has been relieved of his position as Primate of the Diocese, according to his own request

The Primate of the Diocese of Vayots Dzor, Archbishop Abraham Mkrtchyan, has been relieved of his position as diocesan primate and called to retirement based on his written and oral applications. By Patriarchal decree, the Primate of the Diocese of Syunik, His Grace Bishop Makar Hakobyan, has been concurrently appointed as the Vicar of the Diocese of Vayots Dzor to fulfill the duties of the diocesan primate.
