The clergy of the Masyatsotn Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church have expressed their disagreement and serious concern with the decision made by the General Jurisdiction Court of the First Instance of Armavir Region, which effectively obliges them to recognize as their leader the former bishop who has already been declared deposed, who is now a lay person, named Arman Saroyan. The statement was signed by 19 priests of the diocese. The clergy serving in the Aragatsotn Diocese have expressed their disagreement with the decisions made by the General Jurisdiction Court of the First Instance of Armavir Region, which effectively oblige them to recognize as spiritual shepherds the former priests who have been declared deposed by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, who are now lay persons, Stepan and Aramayis, under the names of the abbot. The statement was signed by 22 priests, deacons and Mother Mother Yeghisabet Meletlyan of the diocese.
