On September 17, Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, presided over the Consecration of the newly-built Holy Transfiguration Cathedral of the Armenian Diocese of New Nakhijevan and Russia. This historical event was attended by Serzh Sargsyan, President of the Republic of Armenia and Bako Sahakyan, President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. Kirill I, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia also took part in the ceremony.
