The Mother See responded to the anti-Armenian event organized by Azerbaijan in Rome

The Mother See emphasized that at the event entitled “Christianity in Azerbaijan: History and Modern Times” held at the initiative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to the Holy See, an attempt was made to deny the Armenian belonging of the historical and cultural heritage of Armenia and Artsakh, to distort historical realities with the malicious intention of appropriating it in the future. Holy Etchmiadzin regrets that an anti-scientific event was allowed to be organized on the premises of a Catholic higher educational institution. In this regard, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin will initiate the necessary steps within the framework of the perceived inter-church communication.
