Court lifts Nersisyans’ house arrest, leaves bail and administrative supervision

The prosecutor has requested an extension of the house arrest of Gevorg Nersisyan, brother of Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, and his son Hambardzum Nersisyan, for another three months, but the lawyer objected, because the case is already in its final stages, all evidence and testimonies of key witnesses have been examined. The Nersisyans have been in prison for seven months. The defense claims that their arrest is political persecution.
