Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Aristakes Ayvazyan was appointed the Abbot of St. Karapet church in Ararat region 11 months ago. The monastery did not have a clergy for 80 years. Through the efforts of the Primate of the Diocese, His Grace Bishop Gevork Saroyan, improvement works were carried out. A tree planting was recently organized in the yard of the monastery.
