On September 15, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, met in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin with former President of the Federal Republic of Germany Joachim Gauck, who arrived in Armenia on a five-day visit at his invitation. The Catholicos of All Armenians welcomed the visit of the former President of Germany to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, expressing gratitude to Mr. Gauck for his important role in the adoption of the Armenian Genocide Recognition and Condemnation Resolution in the German Bundestag in 2016.
