At the Hovannavank Monastery of the Diocese of Aragatsotn, the pilgrimage day of the church is celebrated on the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The cross-relic containing the relics of St. John the Baptist was brought to Hovhannavank from the treasury of the Mother See.
