The ceremony of launching and consecrating the chapel took place under the chairmanship of the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople. Archbishop Sahak anointed with muron the holy table of the chapel named after St. Gregory the Illuminator, as well as the icon of the Illuminator. The chapel was renovated and beautified by the efforts of the Parish Council and clergy of Beyoğlu district churches.
