Araratian Week will begin on June 16 with the commemoration of St. Hripsime and her Companions

The Sabbath symbolizes the conversion of the Armenians and the victory of the Christian faith over paganism. On June 16, the sacred relics of the Virgin, accompanied by clergy and believers, will be transferred to the St. Hripsime Monastery. On June 17, a festive liturgy will be served in the St. Gayane Monastery, and the right hand enclosing the relics of St. Gayane will be brought to the church. On June 19, with the blessing of the Catholicos of All Armenians, the relics of the saints will be transferred from the Mother See to the St. Shoghakat Monastery. A liturgy will be served, after which numerous believers will commune with the power emanating from the relics.
