A ceremony of ordination of priests was held under the presiding authority of His Holiness the Catholicos of All Armenians

On the eve of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, during the evening service, with the blessing of the Catholicos of All Armenians, a priestly ordination ceremony was performed in the Mother Cathedral. The next day, during the festive Divine Liturgy, presided over by His Holiness Karekin II, the sacred ceremony of consecration of priests was performed. On the occasion of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, a relic of the Savior’s Cross was also brought to the temple to impart strength to the faithful. The newly ordained priests will spend a forty-day period of fasting and prayer in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, after which they will be called to serve in various structures and dioceses of the Armenian Church.
